Meet Our Angels
2019/2020 Scots' Angels
This year’s Scots' Angel is a 12-year-old 7th grader from SE Portland named Jailyn. Jailyn is a wonderful, energetic young lady who loves school and being around her friends. Last year, Jailyn was diagnosed with Pinealblastoma. This is a very rare type of brain tumor. Jailyn has had two brain surgeries, 6 weeks of radiation, and is beginning an intensive 6 month long chemotherapy treatment. Jailyn and her mother Kelley are in desperate need of financial support. We, the Scots’ Angels Club, are going to do whatever we can to help this tremendous young lady.
This year’s Scots' Angel is an 11-year-old 5th grader from SE Portland named Pyu Sein. Pyu is a kind, caring, beautiful little girl. Pyu loves to draw, read and really enjoys comic books. About a year and a half ago, Pyu was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome. Nephrotic syndrome is a kidney disease where the kidneys don’t filter like they are supposed to. Currently there is no cure for her condition; Pyu regularly has infusions at OHSU to help regulate her kidney function. These infusions will last her entire life. The costs related to these bi-monthly infusions are tremendous. Pyu and her mother Sheybeda need our support. It is our mission to make a difference in both their lives.
